Yes. Just as you currently trust your own device to do things like internet banking, you can trust your device to pay with CPoI®. CPoI® was built using bank-grade security, so it’s as safe to pay with CPoI® as it is to pay using your card and PIN in-store. The technology and process are identical.
CPoI® has been developed by some of the world’s best digital payments experts and uses bank-grade security that has been certified by the Payments Security Council. CPoI® is a much safer way to pay online than by entering your card details as you usually do.
It depends on the retailer you are shopping with. Some retailers will have the CPoI® technology integrated into their shopping cart, others may require you to scan a QR code and download the CPoI® app. The CPoI® app only needs to be downloaded once, and from then on, you’ll either pay with CPoI® directly from the checkout, or via the CPoI® app.
Like all new technology, it will take a little time for CPoI® to be rolled out. We are working with retailers large and small all around the world to get them set up for CPoI®. If you want to make the CPoI® roll out go faster, you can ask them to get it!
Yes. CPoI® turns your mobile device into a one-time payment terminal. You follow the same process to pay with CPoI® as you do in-store, but with one difference – you tap your card against your own phone. The rest of the process is the same – enter your PIN, tap enter.

CPoI® can work in any application, on any device, including Apple.
Just like with any security measure, fraudsters will try to find ways to circumvent CPoI®. However, because you enter a PIN with CPoI®, this makes it significantly harder for them.
